Azuaje

That day we decided to find a people who, like many others, were abandoned due to the construction of a dam whose waters engulf some or all of the houses. This is the abandoned village of Loriguilla, a name which also acquired the reservoir causing your ab andon.

We reached the road that leads to the village and what the poster called "siphon Turia." Little did we know what it could be that the siphon, but while enjoying the view that the Turia river ravine offered us, a huge pipe that crossed the road diverted our attention. The road passed under and narrowed even more. Turia was siphon.

few meters ahead is the village but until you spend the last corner will not see it. Two magnificent buildings (the church and schools) tell us that we have reached a population that once had to be large.

In schools still retain the clay tiles in which different groups of drawings show the various rooms in which was divided. We can also see the stairs leading upstairs nonexistent today.

Some pictures of the inside of the schools were

The church is adjacent to schools. It is a beautiful building with a dome that crowns the altar and a tower (of course without hood). The interior still retains the altar and the columns and the font of holy water. All this we can see from an awkward little barred window of a door that keeps out the inside, keeping the church more safe from vandals and the good of our own security, protecting us from a detachment that might result.

In this situation, we are struck by feelings, on one hand we are excited to keep these places (although there should be more monitoring of hygiene and do not forget on the ground, for example, remains of insulation used) and another the following questions befall me why that use a black iron gate with said window of 20x30 instead of just a few bars with some good taste, which would look better inside?. The church has been repainted in original colors basis, whether or not the most attractive it for my taste.

Some images from inside the church

Walking between houses in ruins (some facade still remains intact, a symbol of strength) as it would be once a street, look damming the waters below and the remaining remnants of their feast without swallowing.

enjoyed a little more the tranquility of the landscape and we're thinking that surely return in the future for a swim in a safe place to save in her womb thousands of stories yet to be discovered
